“…Many refugee children and young people will have been subjected to or have witnessed horrifying and traumatic events. All will have experienced some degree of loss of home, place and culture, as well as the profound losses of parents, siblings, friends and/or significant others through death or separation.
The ongoing impact of trauma related to the refugee experience can interfere with the capacity to learn.
