“I can never forget what happened to me, but this story is not just about me. This story continues every day, to my sister, to my family and to the many millions of refugees around the world. It is so important to have our voices and our stories heard” – Foundation House client
The work of Foundation House to advance the health, wellbeing and human rights of people of refugee backgrounds in Victoria who have experienced torture or other traumatic events is informed and centred in the experience of the client, the stories they tell about their experience and ensuring their voices are heard throughout their contact with us.
Within this section we have highlighted a number of case study examples, each one showing a different area of work within Foundation House. The case studies form a small part of the story and give examples of the voices of the clients we work with.
