The Quentin Buckle Study Grant is an initiative of the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. It was first awarded is 2007 to honour founding committee member Quentin Buckle’s lifelong commitment to human rights, community and social justice.
The grant is designed to support its recipient from a refugee background to undertake or continue education or training in their chosen field. It is awarded to clients of Foundation House and nominations can only be made by internal staff. Nominations are considered by a panel comprising Foundation House Board members and senior staff. It is awarded each year at the Foundation House end of year celebration in December.
