Foundation House ethics approval and review process
Foundation House has an independent institutional ethics committee which is registered with the National Medical Health and Research Council (NHMRC) and functions in accordance with the NHMRC “National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research.”
The Foundation House Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) assesses and monitors research conducted by Foundation House staff and external researchers which involves Foundation House clients and staff as participants.
These documents describe the processes for approval and monitoring by the IEC and in addition constitute the forms required for approval, reporting of progress and conclusion of projects.
