Support

Foundation House plays a support role for a number of organisations involved in providing services to refugees and survivors of torture. Other organisations regularly turn to Foundation House for both practical and strategic support due to its work in the field over more than 20 years.

In addition to providing training to staff and volunteers of external organisations, Foundation House may provide direct supervision, assistance during times of crises, debriefing, and longer term support such as the development of guidelines and policy. Foundation House recognises the importance of providing strong support services for both internal and external staff in a demanding field of work.

There are a wide range of services available for people with refugee backgrounds in Victoria. Foundation House aims to work in partnership with a range of organisations across the health, welfare, education, community service and government sectors to minimise duplication and provide a comprehensive response that supports refugees in their communities.
