Available Now: Ucan2 Active Programs for Term 4 2016
Ucan2 Active Programs Term 4 2016, are now available. Ucan2 Active is a work readiness programs for young people of refugee and migrant background aged 18 – 25.
Ucan2 Active was developed through the Ucan2 program specifically for young people not currently engaged in education,
training or employment. The program runs one day per week, over 10 weeks. It is delivered
in collaboration with local government, training and employment, or community organisations.
Ucan2 Active has three core delivery components:
- Contextualised and experiential learning focusing on work skills,
with opportunities for part-time work or volunteering
- Psychosocial support
- Development of social connections and networks through contact
with peer volunteers, work experience placements, increasing
knowledge of support agencies, and group processes that create
strong connections among the Ucan2 group
Planning and case coordination meetings of the delivery team develop
the program at the local level, initiating and supporting referrals for
those young people requiring extra support.

Ucan2 Active Programs Term 4 2016 will operate in Footscray, Dandenong and Hoppers Crossing.
