Foundation House finalist in Early Years Awards 2018
The Foundation House Early Years team has been named as a shortlisted finalist in the Victorian Department of Education Early Years Awards 2018. The awards celebrate the exceptional contributions that individuals and organisations make to improving the learning and development of young children and their families.
Nominated in the Creating Collaborative Community Partnerships award category, the Early Years team have worked in partnership over two years with Hume City Council and ten early years agencies in Craigieburn. The work has aimed to increase access and participation in early years programs for young children and their families from refugee backgrounds. The project has resulted in changed practices, the development of new resources and increased cooperation and partnerships in early years services in Craigieburn.
On Tuesday 23 October the Victorian Early Years Awards 2018 ceremony will take place at the National Gallery of Victoria. The Hon. Jenny Mikakos MP, Minister for Early Childhood Education, will announce the winners. We look forward to updating you on the results.
