Since its inception in 1987, Foundation House has welcomed a loyal and committed group of people who have become our support base, friends and advocates and, along with our clients, important members of the broader Foundation House community.
People who become interested in Foundation House tend to have longstanding relationships with us, they stay around as part of our community…it’s that kind of place. While we don’t have the capacity to operate a volunteer program because of the specialised nature of our support work with clients, people are involved with our work in a variety of ways. We encourage and warmly welcome you to 'Be Involved'.
A Message from Lynne Haultain, Chairperson, Foundation House
We hear a lot about 'making a difference'. I can sincerely say Foundation House makes a real difference, to our clients and their families. We can all play a part in welcoming them to Australia and making sure they have every chance to recover from their experiences and rebuild fulfilling lives. I encourage you to be involved in whatever way you can, as a member, a donor, a supporter or a friend of Foundation House. The people we work with are at times of their lives amongst the most vulnerable people in our community – but also amongst the most valuable. What our clients teach me about the dignity, hope and resilience of humanity is immeasurable, and I am so grateful for the privilege.
Lynne Haultain, Chairperson, Foundation House
